Here’s the pitch: In the 2017 season, the Houston Astros used TV cameras to steal signs from opposing team’s catchers, and communicate the signs to their hitters in real-time by banging on a trash can. It sounds kinda stupid, but it’s a big deal. The Houston Astros won the World Series in 2017, due in no small part to their cheating.
